Training

Provides injury prevention interventions for the needs of the organisation and work force enabling independent employees who can self manage risk. Training includes:
  1. Education about risk factors for musculoskeletal pain and injury – including normal incidence at home and at work, contributing factors
  2. Education about self management strategies for preventing pain and injury related to risk factors and contributing factors
  3. Description of injury analysis to assist with understanding of injury causation
  4. Technique education for work tasks
  5. Instruction in stretching and strengthening exercises for work and home
  6. Advice about how to improve well being through participation in sports, fitness activities, cardiovascular exercise and other lifestyle activities
Classroom teaching (PowerPoint presentation) is combined with practical exercises and onsite education to maximise learning. Written information on exercises and techniques can be provided.
The sessions include opportunities for people to ask questions about their own concerns and problems.
